Thank you for telling me it was okay to want to transfer in the beginning, when I was struggling to adjust.
Thank you for crying with me when I went back to school the second semester and didn't know if I could be happy there.
Thank you for helping me pay for college.
Thank you for answering the phone when I call at midnight during finals week from the library, because I know I'm going to fail my exam.
Thank you for not getting mad when I had to retake a class after getting a bad grade.
Thank you for letting me move to school full-time, even when you'd rather have me home.
Thank you for not asking me to come home every other weekend, instead letting me find my own way in life.
Thank you for saying yes to me getting a puppy, even though it didn't pan out.
Thank you for encouraging me to change my major twice, until I found the right fit.
Thank you for understanding that I need to work in college and that busier is better for me.
Thank you for getting excited for me when I relay the mundane events of life to you.
Thank you for still cutting up my fruit when I do come home.
Thank you for listening to all of my talk about sorority life, even when you don't understand what it all means.
Thank you for buying me endless amounts of Delaware gear, and realizing how my uneasiness turned to love.
Thank you for listening to me ramble on and on about the kids I babysit, the jobs I have, and the classes I'm taking.

Thank you for understanding when I tell the same story 10 different ways, always forgetting that you already know.
Thank you for showing me how important it is to do something that makes you happy in life.
Thank you for not getting upset with me for partying, going on weekend trips, and sometimes making bad decisions.
