Dear hometown friends,
I want to thank you. Before I left for college, you were the people I would see every day and confide in. You knew my past, were a part of my present, and you know every detail of what I want my future to look like.
Whether I went to high school with you, or I'm just lucky enough that we crossed path's, I hope that we never lose touch. You all are the reason why I can't wait to get home for school breaks and why going home just wouldn't be "home" without you.
Thank you for supporting me through all of the ups and downs of my teenage years.
Thank you for listening to me talk about the same guy for hours at a time just because you knew how much I cared about him.
Thank you for all of the Saturday morning McDonalds breakfast runs.
Thank you for always being willing to make the drive across town to my house.
Thank you for never telling my parents where I actually stayed on all those Friday nights when I was at "your" house.
Thank you for trying to help me rationalize every terrible decision I've made.
Thank you for always answering your phone. Even if it's a 3 a.m. drunk call because I want to tell you how much I love and miss you.
Thank you for keeping me sane.
Thank you for knowing how much i've changed, but always reminding me who I really am.
Thank you for agreeing with me even when you know I'm wrong.
Thank you for helping me replace my dad's beer in the fridge before he noticed it was gone.
Thank you for reminiscing on all of the nights we can barely remember.
Thank you for all of the memories.
Most importantly, thank you for being my friend and making me feel right at home when I am with you all, no matter where we may be.
