Dear London,
From landing at Heathrow on January 11th to saying goodbye to you on May 1st, so many emotions were running through my mind. I didn't want to leave, I still wish I didn't have to leave. I met so many new people. Working in London was amazing. I loved all my co-workers and I miss them terribly. Thank god for email, right?
I loved my flat and my roommates so much. We had a blast together We were there for each other's worst moments. We went to different countries and towns in England together and I cherish those moments so much.
Besides hitting it off with the roommates, I hit it off with my co-workers. We were always laughing with each other. The pub crawl we went on was amazing! I was exposed to different cultures. If I didn't end up interning at Community channel, I probably would not have tried Indian food and fall in love it.
With studying Europe, I got to go to many places I only read about in books. England, London itself lived up to my expectations. The River Thames shocked me the most, and made me realize that I was indeed in London. After reading Dickens' Our Mutual Friend The Thames, wow I couldn't believe that I was looking at the Thames that I read about in that Dickens book. Big Ben, you took my breath away. I saw you in pictures but seeing you up close, wow talk about spectacular.
I finally visited Denmark, a place I have always wanted to visit since I was in 5th grade. Copenhagen took my breath away. Paris, France literally stole my heart. I loved Paris so much. Both times I went in the four months I was away. Prague, Czech Republic was another place that took my breath away too. Just how old the city was made it all the more beautiful.
Besides the traveling, I learned more about myself as a person. I learned how to solve my own problems. I learned more about time management. I learned more about being independent and how to rely on myself.
Lastly, I will never forget about those four months, and you made me make so many memories, so thank you, London.
Until Next time. xx
