Raise your hand if you got the “end of the semester blues.” Me, me, pick me. It’s April and we have one full month left of school. It’s crazy to even fathom it being the end of the school year, but it’s rapidly approaching. You know what that means? Finals on finals, projects on projects and papers on papers. The weather gets nicer and when the temperatures increase, so does the workload.
We all swing into that “Senioritis” mindset (yeah, even when you’re not a senior) when the last couple of months approach. You start to care less and it shows. Below are some of the thoughts/things that may occur throughout the end of the semester:
1. Returning back to school after spring break is probably one of the worst things ever.
What do you mean I won't be back home until summer?
2. The teacher starts reminding the class that the final is cumulative and they receive dirty looks from the whole class.
Like….are you for real?
3. As if your sleep schedule isn’t already messed up, it gets worse after spending late nights in the library.
About to be on my fourth cup of coffee. I swear I’m fine.
4. Advisement and registration. Enough said. This time period is usually a college student’s worst nightmare. Registration is equivalent to “The Hunger Games.” Save ya-self.
If I don’t get the classes I want/need, I may or may not lose my sh*t.
5. Everyone's Twitter feeds are filled with "Is the semester over yet?" or "I need summer now" kinda tweets.
Retweet and fave.
6. Instagram is also filled with the "Where is Summer?" pics.
7. April is basically the last month you have to really save your grade. Three weeks seems like a long time but it’ll go by fast. SOS.
Time flies when you’re drowning in papers & homework, trust me!
8. You no longer want to be at school anymore. Everything and everyone annoys you. You want summer.
This person’s annoying. That person’s annoying. You’re all annoying.
9. Fantasizing about your bed at home, as well as home cooked meals, has become a daily thing.
How many more days?
10. Homework breaks turn into homework naps. Naps that last between three to four hours.
Long story short, the end of the semester can be pretty rough on the college student. However, it goes by so fast and you're done with school before you know it!
