The Temperature Outside Changed, Why Didn't JSU's?

From what I've heard, the students are literally melting.

The Temperature Outside Changed, Why Didn't JSU's?

I would like to start this off by saying that I do not live on campus and I commute to JSU everyday. (Granted I live seven minutes away...) Anyway. Recently I visited Patterson dorm and to say the least... it was hot. Like extremely hot. I asked my friend Blake what he had been doing to manage the heat, and he said some days it was okay and other days it was unbearable. After visiting Blake's room I ended up in Chase's room later that day, and it was extremely hot in his room. He and his roommate, Drew, even had a fan on and that wasn't even making it bearable. I noticed lots of people had their windows up, and the air in their rooms was set to cold. After visiting their dorms I realized it wasn’t just Patterson that was hot. EVERYWHERE on campus was sweltering—classrooms, other residence halls, the whole campus is burning up. I have a lot of classes in Brewer and it is always insanely hot in there. I have class on the first floor, and the third floor and I am thankful that my class on the third floor can at least open the windows. I literally dread walking into that building because the temperature inside is hotter than the outside. I have class in Martin and Stone, and it is just as hot in there. Some days it is even hard to listen to my professor because I am concentrating on not melting. (Okay, not true. But really.) I realize that JSU runs its air and heat on one big cycle, but DEAR LORD TURN THE AIR BACK ON. It has been consistently been above 70 degrees outside (or right around that temperature) and JSU is still running the heat. It is so hot in the residence halls that I don't even like being there. I can't imagine living there. It is so hot in there that even the tile is hot. Now, that's an issue. So this poses my questions...Why can’t they just change it back over to air conditioning? It would make almost everyone who attends JSU happier. Everyday I hear students complaining about how hot it is in their rooms. I have talked to someone who lives in each of the dorms and the general consensus is… that is HOT. Some people told me they have began to take cold showers, almost everyone has their windows up, and a lot of people are just miserable. I believe that it is safe to say.. Administrators at JSU.. PLEASE TURN THE AIR BACK ON BEFORE WE ALL MELT. I mean, please. It would be so great.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
