Telltale: Batman Episode One Review
V-Gamers

Episode one of telltale games batman series came out this week. I've never played a telltale game before. Mainly because there is not much gameplay it's completely story driven. The story is dictated by the decisions the player makes. However, i'm a huge fan of batman so I thought this would be a good one to start with. After playing episode one I was surprised how much fun I had with this first episode.

Bruce Wayne is in his early years of being batman in this story. Right now he is trying to defeat the mob that dominates Gotham. He is also helping Harvey Dent run for Gotham Mayor. With Harvey as mayor and Bruce Wayne as batman, this is the perfect formula to get Gotham back on its feet. This episode focused more on Bruce Wayne than batman. Players have to make decisions that will help Harvey win over the press and citizens of Gotham. This is the first time in a batman game were Bruce Wayne is heavily featured. A rumor is floating around that his parents were working with the mob before they were murdered. Bruce is heckled by the media over this hurting Harvey's campaign. Players have to decide how to handle the media which effects how the story plays out.

Even though this episode focuses more on Bruce Wayne there is still plenty of batman. I really liked batman's suit design. He has the white eyes which makes him even more intimidating. Gameplay for batman is either a quick time event or solving a crime through detective mode. He also runs into catwoman in the beginning of the episode. I think she's going to play a big role for the batman part of the story. I really enjoyed figuring what happened at crime scenes. I also enjoyed the quick time events to my surprise. The player can also decide how to punish the criminals batman runs into. You can choose to show mercy or brutalize them which will intimidate other criminals.

I think I enjoyed this more than others because it was my first time playing a telltale game. Also because it's a batman story. If your someone who's played all the telltale games, I'm not sure if you'll get the same enjoyment I did. Episode one is only 4.99$ I highly recommend playing through it.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
