Some of your favorite movies and television shows have the potential to become some of the best costumes. They are individual characters that come together to bring a bigger costume to life. Most of these costumes can even be made from clothes in the back of your closet, so do not be afraid to get creative. Here are a few very different costumes your group of friends could pull out this Halloween.

1. Proud Family

Some days you vibe with Penny Proud and other days you feel for the Gross Sisters. The Proud Family is a family affair that can really include so many people. If only I could have Wizard Kelly riches in real life.

2. "Bring It On" Clovers

Accessorizing this costume the way you want is perfect way to make it your own. The Compton Clovers had distinct personalities, but were always a truly cohesive group.

3. The Cheetah Girls

The Cheetah Girls stole everyone's hearts and now you and your friends can steal the spotlight in your iconic matching jumpsuits. You might even get to perform that "Cheetah Sisters" closing number you have been practicing since August.

4. "Orange Is The New Black" Cast

*Cue the "Orange Is The New Black" Theme Song*

Make even the dingiest prison uniform look cute with this costume idea. Even if you can't get the exact characters, just having a group of your friends together in the same beige outfit and red ID tag will have you instantly recognized.

5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Who doesn't love mutant turtles who are also ninjas and teenagers who love pizza?!

6. The "Clueless" Cast

The 90's matching plaid skirt and jacket with a white top and high knee socks is the easiest way to channel your Clueless posse.

7. The Breakfast Club

Whether you want to be the jock, the basket case, the brain, the princess or the criminal; just make sure you coordinate with your friends so you all do not show up wearing the same costume.

8. The "Mean Girls" Cast

If you want to look fetch, this is the group costume for you. To take it a step further, add Janice, Damian and Kevin G into the mix.

9. The "Recess" Cast

For the kids at heart, I present to you: Nostalgia. There is something for everyone is this group costume, but you might just get caught up in the characters and try and binge the show for the 100th time.

10. Minions

This is a costume you can really just make your own. You can make the outfit your own, but accessories are definitely important to keep the same. Who is your favorite minion?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
