Each and every day, we interact with and use various piece of technology. From phones and tablets to cars and computers, most of us have at least two technological devices on hand. They help us stay organized, connected to friends and family, can help us run businesses and do our work, and even be tools for creative purposes.
Things aren't always perfect though, but thankfully there are other tech toys that can help keep things convenient and working for you. So to help keep the frustration at bay and to hopefully improve the quality of your technology life, here are few cool tech toys for you to consider.
1. BAL-M50x
This little device is specifically made for the Audio Technica ATH-M50x headphones. Lauded amongst various audiophile crowds for their price to performance ratio, the M50x's offer amazing sound quality and great comfort at a relatively low cost.
However, their greatest downfall is their cord. The headphones come with a standard 3ft cable, 10ft cable, or 10ft coiled cable in the box. These are swappable and removable for various situations, but the cords tend to be rather cumbersome to use in practice.
Add on to the fact that some mobile phone manufacturers have opted to remove the standard headphone jack, using these bad boys can be tricky.
The BAL-M50x is a small, clip on adapter that gives these headphones wireless capability. It's discrete, easy to operate, and performs very well.
2. CyberPower CSP600WSU
Okay so that's a mouthful. What is it? It's a surge protector from CyberPower that plugs right in to the outlets in the wall. It takes up 2 outlets, but provides 6 in total with 3 on each side. These 3 outlets swivel to allow for easier use and access.
The surge protector also gives you 2 2.1amp USB ports to plug in some of your devices directly, which is incredibly convenient. And it's a surge protector offering 1200 joules of protection, giving you a little extra peace of mind.
I have one of these in my bedroom right by my bed and another in the office by my desk.
3. RepCount
This one isn't so much a piece of tech as it is related to one. RepCount is a fitness tracking app available on both iOS and Android. It's a super clean, simple, easy to use app for recording all of your lifts and workout sessions.
It can account for warmup sets, supersets, various indoor and outdoor cardio workouts, as well as giving you an estimated one rep max for all you heavy lifters out there.
It also syncs easily with Apple Health, which is a nice bonus.
4. Chromecast
Many of you may have heard of the Chromecast already, but if you haven't now is your lucky day. Linked above is the Chromecast Ultra which is the 4k ready variant of this device, but if you don't have a 4k TV or just want to save some money, the standard Chromecast goes for $35.
It's a small device that plugs into an HDMI port on your television and allows you wirelessly stream various media from Netflix, Youtube, Google Chrome, and other supported apps directly to your television.
It's a cheap way to turn a standard tv into a smarter one with a single toy.
