No matter which way you look at it, Taylor Swift is a musical legend. Her influence in culture and music has been wide spread and her impact is undeniable. Ever since her first album debut in 2006, Taylor Swift has won countless awards, toured the world and inspired girls and boys a like. As a Taylor Swift fan, I have been following her music since the beginning and have loved each and every style change in her music, look, etc. However, I think this time she may have gone too far.
By now, I am sure you have heard Taylor Swift's new song, "Look What You Made Me Do" and have an opinion on it, good or bad. While she has written about relationships and life changes, I think this is her first real diss track. Personally, I do not like this change since she has always been someone to write about life experiences and push those who disagreed with her actions to the side, something I admired of her. With this new song, I feel like she is going against what she built herself and her brand upon. I am hoping with the eventual release of her album, it will become clear who this so called "new Taylor" is and what her message will be.
Even though, in the words of Taylor Swift, "the old Taylor is dead," here are 16 songs to prove that she shouldn't be.
1. "Enchanted"
2. "Our Song"
3. "Fearless"
4. "Fifteen"
5. "You Belong With Me"
6. "All Too Well"
7. "Starlight"
8. "Never Grow Up"
9. "Picture to Burn"
10. "Love Story"
11. "White Horse"
12. "Forever & Always"
13. "Story of Us"
14. "Sparks Fly"
15. "Back to December"
16. "Mine"
No matter what happens with this album, I'll always love Taylor Swift and these songs will forever be some of my favorites.
