People Are Reverse Tie-Dying Their Sweats At Home And It's SO Easy You Can Do It Too
Those cute and cozy sweats you've been eyeing on Instagram are so simple to DIY.
If you've officially entered the stage of quarantine where you're strongly considering updating your wardrobe to include more fashionable loungewear, same here. And all of the adorably cozy sweat sets that everyone on Instagram and TikTok is rocking do NOT help curb the online shopping cravings.
But there's a new DIY trend circling the internet that will solve your lack of trendy loungewear almost instantly! People are tie-dying their clothes with just bleach and water, and the results are actually SO CUTE.
The method is being referred to as "reverse tie-dying" because it essentially strips away the dyes in your clothing instead of adding new color. You just wrap and wet your clothes as you would if you were tie-dying them, blend together equal parts bleach and water, and pour it onto the clothes as if it were dye. The fabric will change color right before your eyes, and the process takes just 20 minutes!
"The Bachelor's" Kelsey Weier was just one of many influencers to walk through the process on her Instagram story.
It's so simple that anyone can do it! Just be sure to wear gloves and be careful with where you pour the bleach.
