How I Survive Finals Week As A College Student
The worst week of every college student's life.
Every college student knows that finals week is one of the worst weeks to go through within every semester. I say this because at the end of the semester everyone is ready to start summer break, get on with their lives, and stop stressing about what our grades are. It is hard to focus on all these finals and be able to find the time to study for them especially if you are anything like me. I do not have the luxury of only having three or four classes. I have a total of five or six every semester.
So how do I survive? The answer is quite simple. I try to prioritize things based off of when all my classes have their finals. I also begin studying all my material for every test a week beforehand so I won't cram any information inside of my head. When I cram for any exam sometimes, it works well, but most of the time I end up with a C average. I know I am very much capable of receiving A's and B's as well as all of you so I'd instead give myself time to study then try to remember information last minute.
Considering how many classes I take, every single one of them typically ends up giving out finals, and some of them end up being back to back. Once you get to college, you will soon realize that time-management is a must-have skill. If you are not good at it now, I will consider learning a few tips and tricks on how to manage your time wisely and sufficiently. This was a massive wake-up call for me during my freshmen year of college because I was overloaded with work and did not know how to do all of my work promptly.
My best advice to someone who is overloaded with finals is trying to make sure you have time to study all the material for all your exams. This way you feel prepared and not stressed out.
