Harry Potter: The Magic Continues

"Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it." Albus Dumbledore

Oh, Dumbledore. Your wise observation speaks an infinite amount of truth, especially when considering that you yourself are two of the million (two of the 1,084,170, to be exact) words written by J.K Rowling that managed to capture the hearts and minds of Muggles everywhere. For over ten years, dedicated readers journeyed to Hogwarts and beyond while they sipped on homemade Butterbeer and patiently waited for an owl to deliver their acceptance letters. If you're like me, after the series ended you experienced (and continue to experience) countless Harry Potter withdrawals.

Luckily, if I've learned anything from the books, sometimes the end is just the beginning.

Here are ten ways in which the magical community of Harry Potter continues to

grow:

1."Harry Potter and the Cursed Child"

Although some Muggles may not have the ability to apparate to London (or a Time-Turner to purchase the sold-out tickets) to watch this new play which explores what has elapsed since the seventh novel, fans can pre-order the script book--Book Eight--which will be released on July 31.

2. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"

Not only does this film highlight some pretty awesome magical creatures (like Eddie Redmayne), it also explores the dynamics of the American Wizarding World. J.K. Rowling has even released new writing on Ilvermorny, the North American wizarding school.

3. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

After reading and watching all of the excitement that Harry and his friends discovered at Hogwarts, maybe you're ready to have some adventures of your own- well now you can! Whether you want to explore the castle, eat treats at Honeydukes, or purchase an Ollivander's wand, your visit is sure to be *magical*.

4. Warner Bros. Studio Tour- London

Want an even more authentic experience? Warner Bros. offers a London Studio Tour that showcases original iconic props, costumes, and sets from the Harry Potter films!

5. Pottermore

Before moving on to some of the more obscure items on our list, check out Pottermore: the official hub for all Harry Potter related news and writings!

6. Harry and the Potters

The self- proclaimed "first wizard rock band" has released a wide array of songs, with titles like "Save Ginny Weasley from Dean Thomas" and "The Economics of the Wizarding World." Take your Harry Potter obsession to a new level [of media].

7. Potter Puppet Pals

A viral YouTube sensation that is not easily forgotten. This little series is addicting in the most magical way.

8. A Very Potter Musical

Also on YouTube is this two-act musical extravaganza which includes 19 songs that give Hamilton* a run for it's money.

*Okay, that may have been a bit of an exaggeration, but it's still good!

9. "Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality"

"Pure genius wrapped in a 565,000 word fanfiction. If Harry Potter taught me how to imagine, then Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality taught me how to think. Scientific methods combined with moral dilemmas and ensconced in adorably humorously brilliant eleven year old Harry- pure genius, I repeat."

I'll leave it at that.

10. The Upcoming Election

This recent study reveals that Harry Potter fans know He- Who- Must- Not- Be-Voted-For.

Although time goes by and people change, after all this time, Harry Potter has always been there.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
