When you meet your Tinder matches

Tinder stories that you would never expect to hear from students around campus. Most people use Tinder to boost their self esteem or just because they are bored. It's usually fun but sometimes it goes a little too far. Here are some crazy tinder stories from students I interviewed around campus. We're putting you in their shoes!

1. The first story goes like this. Imagine laying around watching tv with all of your friends. All of a sudden Amanda matches a cute boy on Tinder! His pick up line was weak but she thinks there is potential. Amanda invites him over because what else do you do? He gets a group of people together and drives over an hour to come see her. So far he's doing everything right, this could be good.

Amanda and her friends get all dolled up for a night out. The boys get here but they had some unexpected tag-alongs. They happen to be underage girls but they go with the flow. They all go out to a party and as the night goes on, they realize this is getting bad. The boys and their guests drove all this way and they are all intoxicated, what do you do? Sneaking out the back door seems like the best option. Now that Amanda and her friends finally escaped, you know not to make that mistake again.

2. Haylee is going out for the night but her goal is to find a boy to end up with. Since she's so motivated, immediately she goes on Tinder because where else do you find a hook up? "Congratulations, You've Got a Match!" pops up, he's only two miles away, this could end well. Haylee invites him to come out with her and her friends. When he gets trashed at the pre-game, you know this means trouble. Since he's so trashed she had no issues with escaping.

Now that she doesn't have to babysit she enjoyed yourself and had a good time. Until she got a phone call. Tinder boy ends up in the hospital from alcohol poisoning. This is really bad. The next day you have more Tinder notifications. It's a message.. from the same Tinder boy. Now she's being harassed and blamed for what happened. Nothing good is coming from this. Obviously she blocked him and didn't respond to him. Good thing his friends know who she is. A couple months later his friends informed her that tinder boy is in prison. Yikes.. So much for that hook up. Next!

3. If you need cash fast for maybe let's say, a last minute vacation, try playing the lottery or even messaging your Tinder matches. Hannah was planning on going away for the weekend but needed some extra cash for the hotel and other expenses. She made a harmless bet with a Tinder match and won! She met up with the Tinder match to get the money and got it. Just like that she was over two hundred dollars richer. Thankfully, the Tinder match wasn't scamming her nor dangerous but who would've thought getting money from strangers was so easy. You just have to take risks and live a little.

4. Tinder hook ups are mostly simple. You match, you get hit on by a funny pick up line, you meet, it goes from there. If you make it to the meet up, there is a lot of potential. You have to be careful about where you meet though, if you go to his or her place the escape route is limited. You'll have to make your roommate fake cry outside the door to get you out. If you go somewhere public, you'll have a good chance of getting out of it if you need to. Unless they follow you.

Cali agreed on meeting her Tinder match at the Walmart parking lot. She picked a car in the parking lot told him that was hers. She said she was in a white Subaru when in reality she was in a black SUV. So the Tinder match told her where he was parked and she drove by like she was going to naturally shop at Walmart. So she was spotted and he followed her. She messaged her and asked why she lied about what car she was in. She went along with her story and pretended she was still in the white Subaru. She kept driving and went to the McDonald's drive through line because that's safe, right?

So the Tinder boy followed her to McDonald's. She was so scared that when he wasn't around, she got into her trunk and threw a blanket on her self to hide. He got out of his car and peeked into the windows to find her. Luckily only she could see through the blanket and he couldn't see her. When the coast was clear she drove home. Good thing they met at Walmart and not his humble abode..

5. When you're young and in college, you want to find love. That whole high school sweethearts thing didn't work out and now it's your turn to find that special someone. Josh was scrolling through Tinder and suddenly, "Omg I went to high school with this girl! WOW who is this girl in her pictures???" So josh texted his friend from high school and fond out who her hot friend is. Turns out they are roommates. She said she will hook you two up. YES, this is his chance! Well time goes on and now you have a girlfriend. Who would've thought he would get his next girlfriend from Tinder? About a week later the relationship ended, but hey it was a fun run.

6. What's really awkward is if you match someone you always see. Maybe it's that worker at Wisenflu or the CA in your building or the man you babysit for. Imagine how awkward it would be to tell the mom you babysit for that you saw her husband of ten years and the father of her children on Tinder? Well Emily didn't. She used it as black mail and accepted what she could get. Emily bribed the dad and got free pens tickets to keep her mouth shut! Time to find a new babysitter though..

I hope you all enjoyed this article! Be cautious of who you meet on the internet and what could happen and more importantly, be prepared on what to do if you see a tinder match on your walk to class!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
