Finals week is a week for all high school and college kids to study up on what they have learned for the entire semester and somehow retain all of that. Some teachers/professors make it cumulative and some just count it as a final test. Whatever this week may mean to you, there is a similar feeling that everyone going through it feels. That feeling is either panic, stress or overall confusion. Here is a breakdown of finals week with some sassy queens.

1) Realizing that next week is finals week.

2) Also realizing how much class you missed/skipped.

.

3) Getting a plan to start studying early and not get stuck cramming the night before.

4) Getting all of the study guides.

When did we learn any of this?

5) Planning on studying when getting home.

6) But instead you just crash on your bed.

7) You randomly get motivated to study.

And realize you got this. You actually DO know this stuff.

8) But then you start to doubt yourself.

9) The long nights start to take a toll on you.

10) Little things start to irritate you when you are in public because of sleep deprivation.

11) You start to run on coffee and a dream alone.

12) You try to do anything to distract yourself from studying.

13) When you realize you got too distracted and your first final is tomorrow.

14) So you try to cram it all in the night before.

15) Until the point where you can't do it anymore.

Just going to hope for the best

16) Waking up 10 minutes before the exam starts.

17) Getting to class and looking at the test paper.

18) Being convinced half of the material was not on the study guide.

18) How you feel after finishing the exam.

19) The look you give your teacher/professor when you turn in the exam, hoping for mercy while they grade it.

20) Leaving the exam room.

You can finally breathe!

21) Walking across campus, confident that you at least passed.

22) Realizing you have at least three more exams to prepare for

23) When studying all of the subjects begin to blend together.

24) Going to your last exam.

25) Actually feeling really good about what you just did.

26) Waiting for your final grades to be posted.

27) Looking at your final grade and seeing you that you have passed everything

28) When finals week is over and you survived

29) Until next semester...

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
