If you're not yet hooked on the show This Is Us, you soon will be. This show is an amazing display of the realities of life, love, and family relationships. It's intriguing, sweet, and funny and I just love it so much. With that in mind, it also holds a lot of truth for college students struggling to get through the dreaded second semester. The show's characters really capture how it feels to struggle in college, without really being in college themselves.

1. When you realize you have to get up at 7 AM to get to class on time.

This is way too early. Way. Too. Early. 10 AM or later please.

2. When you get a class with all your friends in it.

Yes! Having friends in a college class makes it so much more bearable.

3. When the professor gives you MORE homework.

Why? The average college workload is already too much. We really don't need more. Trust us.

4. When the professor goes through the slides too fast.

This is the most annoying thing, especially when they don't post the powerpoint online later on. It's just not fair.

5. When you have to go to your first job interview.

Getting a job in college is sometimes critical, and you have to be prepared for the interview! First impressions are key!

6. When you see a cute guy/girl in your class.

Gotta get that ring by spring, right?

7. When you have to watch your friends present in class.

Supporting your friends is important. They will most likely support you back!

8. When you have to pump yourself up before a presentation.

Giving presentations is the worst. Sometimes you just need a peptalk.

9. When people back home ask how school is going.

Ok, ok. Maybe things aren't going well, but they can't know that!

10. When your parents remind you that you're an adult and you can make your own appointments now.

Being an adult is way harder than any of us ever imagined! Learning how to grow up is difficult, but necessary.

11. When you're on your third all-nigher of the week.

Yeah. Most of the time college students have little to none social interactions.

12. When freshman ask how you make it through each semester.

Just telling them the truth. You can't feel sad if you can't feel anything. Right?

13. When you force yourself to go to the gym.

The gym is horrible, but is probably the best way to keep off that extra weight that always tries to sneak in every year.

14. When you finally get out to support your school team.

On the rare occasions that you leave your room, you may find yourself at one of these school-spirited events.

15. In the end, you know college is worth the struggle.

College is hard, but it's also a lot of fun! Despite the struggles and pain, college is a wonderful experience like no other!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
