You Should Support Your Independent Distributor Friends

I get it, you're skeptical; I was skeptical, but just hear me out!

You Should Support Your Independent Distributor Friends

Okay so I know that your news feed is probably flooded daily with your friends posting about their businesses they've started or the products that they are selling. If you're anything like i was, you probably roll your eyes and keep scrolling. You think to yourself, "Why would anyone want to start a thing like that, there's no actual money in it." Then you might think some more and say that "It's a scam, it's so dumb that anyone is doing this, the products probably don't even work."

I know that you are thinking these things because I DID TOO! My best friend started selling It Works and tried numerous times to convince me to buy her products, or join her in selling it. Each time I shot her down and scoffed to myself like I was all high and mighty because I wouldn't fall into "the trap".

However, I started listening to my friend more. She has had great success with her business now, and she lost weight in the process. While home for Christmas break she sat down with me and had a serious conversation. She broke down the process of how everything works, how you make money, told me about her favorite products, and promised me that there was absolutely noway I could fail.

I reluctantly hopped on the bandwagon and started my journey. Right off the bat I got so many rejections, people just flat out saying that they didn't want any part of it. I was so discouraged. I knew for sure that I would flop and be done before I even started.

That being said tomorrow I get my first paycheck from my "side gig". One of my instructors, I'm a full time college student, said one of the best ways to stay out of debt, which you have a lot of when you go to college, is to get a side hustle. (Being an independent distributor!) I go to class all day long, I'm heavily involved on campus, and I have a regular job. I live pay check to pay check. I couldn't get another job if I wanted to, I simply don't have the time, but with being an independent distributor I am my own boss, I get back what I put into this business. With the start of second semester being here, getting an extra paycheck has been so beneficial to me; allowing me to get everything I needed to start this semester off great, since I'd have to wait a full two weeks before getting paid from my other job.

With all of this in mind, please support your independent distributor friends. I promise it's not a scam and we are just like everyone else, this is just another job. No it's not money handed to us, we do have to work really hard at it. Even if you don't need the products try helping your friends by posting something for them, and please be kind. I promise they will appreciate it more than you could possibly know.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
