We all know the incredible feeling of finally being able to go home for the summer. No more tests, boring lectures to sit through, and countless nights of getting only six hours of sleep. While the beginning of the summer can seem fantastic, some unexpected realities begin to surface.
The moment you finish your last exam and realize you’re finally done with everything school related.
And then there is the glorious moment of returning to your beloved, deeply missed hometown.
The realization you can shower without shower shoes for the first time in five months and sleep in your own beautiful bed you missed so much.
You can finally just relax, sleep in all day and eat all you want to the point where your mom starts to ask if you will ever do anything.
You start to go out and have fun with your friends.
But then you check your bank account...
So then you start to ask your parents for money
But they start to remind you of that part time job you used to have
So then for the rest of the summer this becomes the sad reality of your days
But finally August rolls around and you get to head back to the best place ever: college. You get to go through all the stress and work all over again, but in the end it’s all worth it because these are the best years of your life.
