With summer parties, bonfires, and sitting poolside and working on that tan, I know you don't have much time for making summer snacks. No one wants to spend an hour in the hot kitchen cooking for all their friends while the beach is calling their name. So here are some fun, and most importantly, easy summer snacks for you to make while you get ready for your fun in the sun!

1. Microwavable S'mores

Prep Time: 5 minutes

All you have to do to have a delicious campfire-style s'more in the comfort of your own home is:

1. Place one graham cracker on a microwavable plate

2. Place chocolate piece and marshmallow on the graham cracker

3. Microwave for 10-15 seconds (Don't do any more than that, or else marshmallow will go everywhere!)

4. Add the second graham cracker on top and enjoy!

2. Ice Cream Sandwiches

Prep Time: 5 - 10 minutes

Who doesn't love a delicious, satisfactory ice cream sandwich? This perfect way to cool down from the summer heat will be fun to create and score you some major points with your friends! There are so many flavor combinations just begging to be made.

1. Take a pint of your favorite flavor of ice cream, lay it on its side, and cut roughly one inch thick slices of ice cream

2. Peel off the wrapper from the pint slice and place them on a cookie that is facing flat side up.

3. Take a second cookie facing bumpy side up on top of the ice cream slice.

4. Now the fun part! Grab sprinkles, candy pieces, dipping chocolate, or whatever else you'd like and start decorating your delicious ice cream sandwich. Then enjoy!

3. Chocolate Drizzled Fruit

Prep Time: 5 minutes

With all these sugary treats we need to make sure we get our fruit in somehow! These delicious fruit kebabs are the perfect way to enjoy fruit on the go. (I recommend buying pre-cut fruit. It might be a dollar or two more expensive but it saves you so much time.)

1. Take one wooden skewer and place five to six pieces of fruit on it.

2. Melt either dark or milk chocolate. If you microwave it, melt in 20 second intervals and stir to avoid burning chocolate. (One cup of chocolate for every five skewers of fruit.)

3. Lay all your skewers down on a plate and start drizzling the chocolate!

4. Enjoy your delicious masterpiece!

4. Homemade Cherry Icee

Prep Time: 10 minutes

After eating all your amazing snacks, you're going to want to have a nice cool refreshing drink to finish it all off. And what better than a 7/11-style Icee?

1. Take 2 cups of cold water, 1 cup of sugar, 1 package of red Kool-aid (or whatever color you want), and 4 cups of ice and place it all in a blender.

2. Turn the blender on medium speed and gradually increase the speed to the highest it will go. Stop blending when it is completely smooth.

3. Pour into cups and serve it to all your friends!

I hope you can try all of these and show them off to all your friends. It's the perfect way to start off the best summer ever!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
