Everyone knows music is the key to making a summer the best it can be, so I've compiled a list of 10 songs that you need to add to your playlist if you haven't already. While I was chilling in my backyard I realized that I kept bumping the same country songs all day long and that's when I realized that I needed to enlist the help of some music-savvy friends to compile a new playlist.

Here's 10 songs that definitely added some fire to my summer playlist and helped me beat the heat while I sipped some ice tea in my yard with friends.

1. "Better Now" by Post Malone

Beerbongs and Bentleys is Post's newest release and it is flame. You can play this song on constant replay and still love it every time.

2. "Missed Call" by Northern Lights

Might not be your typical summer jam, but this song will give you some major car cruising vibes.

3. "Rodeo" by KYLE

Do you like pop? Do you like rap? Well, guess what, we've got some pop-rap here with "Rodeo" by KYLE.

4. "Simple" by Florida Georgia Line

It's as simple as the title of this song by Florida Georgia Line, this song is the chillest song to play while riding back roads on a road trip or laying pool side with your friends.

5. "Drunk Drivers / Killer Whales" by Car Seat Headrest

Plug that aux into that Uber because there's no drunk drivers this summer. Put on this jam and have a lit ride home from that summer night bonfire.

6. "Perm" by Bruno Mars

Forget the perm and let your hair down cause this song has a bumping new Bruno feel.

7. "8TEEN" by Khalid

Throwback to summer 2017 cause this song is still bumping. Kick your flip flops off and put this on the speakers for a slight blast from last summer.

8. "Life Changes" by Thomas Rhett

"Life Changes" is the summer anthem for country lovers, it's a guaranteed hit if you love yourself some Thomas Rhett.

9. "Magic In The Hamptons" (feat. Lil Yachty) by Social House

You might not be in the Hamptons, but we can still make some magic come out of that speaker system while listening to this new release all summer long.

10. "Finesse" (Remix) (feat. Cardi B) by Bruno Mars

I know it's popular, but that doesn't mean it can't be a great summer time song. Cardi B and Bruno Mars rock this remix and it is quite the summer party song.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
