SuMmEr is HERRReerRe!!!!!! I'm going to get tan, in GREAT shape, catch up with old pals, and save all of my money!

2. June 1

Time to get to work, I'm going to make like at LEAST $12,000 this summer. All work and no play, time to be serious.

3. June 10

Okay, I've worked about a week (like really hard), so it's time to start having some fun.

4. June 20

I LOVE summer. My high school friends are soOoOO much cooler now that we're in college. I don't even have a curfew anymore!

5. June 25

Okay, I've spent my first two paychecks on food and unnecessary shopping trips so it's time to be on the work grind again.

6. July 3

HOLY guac it's almost the 4th of July, I haven't done ANYTHING this summer. I'm calling every single friend in town and making plans.

7. July 15

Summer is NOT over yet, why are people asking me if I'm ready to go back to school! I'm actually not going back, I love home, my dog, my parents, and there's no rent.

8. July 22

I'm pale, in worse shape than I was when summer started, and I'm poor. send help.

9. July 30

I have spent my last days tanning, catching up with friends, and saving my money. I'm ALMOST excited to go back and start class.

10. August 10

I miss it too much. I'm going back to school a week early. This was the best summer of my life but it's time to move on and get back to my routine of 4 hours of sleep, staying out too late before class, and spending all of the money I saved this summer.

We all know the emotional rollercoaster of summer all too well, it's highs are high and lows are low.

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
