Texas is the second largest state and it offers a variety of fun indoor and outdoor activities for everyone. In addition to that, Texas is fairly cheap when compared to other states such as California or Washington.

Texas provides its guests and residents with a rich a history extending back to the 17th-century under the Spanish empire, then Mexico, and finally part of the United States in the 19th-century. With that, as one travels across the Texas state, you'll come across historical towns, buildings, and Spanish missionaries. It does not matter what city or town you decide to stay in each town and city has its unique history and it is worth getting to know their history. Mix that in with modern cities such as Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, just to name a few cities, you have a bag of Texas culture.

Aside from offering its guests and residents with a rich a history and culture, Texas offers much more from natural caverns, rock climbing, modern leisure spots, along with a variety of amusements parks such as Schlitterbahn and Fiesta Texas.

Because Texas it sits on the Gulf of Mexico there is literally miles and miles of beaches that you can visit. From South Padre Island to Galveston and Surfside. Texas beaches provide its guests with theme parks, carnivals, stores, restaurants, surfing, hiking, and historical sites such as Galveston being a major 20th-century city port.

It is a Texas tradition, to go out with a couple of friends and family and lounge either by the river bank or float on the river.

3. Rock climbing

For those looking for an adventure why not try out Texas rock climbing. Although most of Texas is known for its flatlands or its hill towns, there a few spots where people can go rock climbing. From Reimers Rock, Barton Creek Greenbelt to Hueco Tank State Park. (Because of Texas' extreme hot weather, it is best to go rock climbing early in the morning or later in the evening).
