Summer is finally here! Time to show off those curves and slay on the beach. Don't dread summer anymore. This is the time to break free and express yourself. The plus-size fashion industry is booming with hot new styles this summer. Make this summer count! Here are some tips to spice up your summer.

1. Bold colors

You can never go wrong when you add a little color in your life. Spice up your wardrobe with some risky colors. This will bring out those summer curves you have been waiting to strut all year. Yellows and greens can be paired with many different items, so add these to your wardrobe.

2. High-waisted

With all the new styles coming out, high-waisted pants and skirts never seem to go out of style. Bust out those high-waist pants and skirts you never thought would be back in style because you can always pair them with a stylish top. This can also work with a classy look as well. Who says you can't look stylish at work, too?

3. Bikinis

Yes, I said bikinis! The fashion industry has taken a turn, and not for the worst this time. Ladies, you no longer have to dread a swimsuit again because there are now high-waisted bikinis for plus size women. One-pieces are also getting more appealing, too. I will say the swimsuits are a little on the pricey side, but it's a purchase you won't regret buying. Don't be afraid to show off those beautiful curves.

4. Heels

Ladies, you can never go wrong with heels. Just adding a little height can really make a difference. Heels come in so many shapes and sizes that there's literally a pair for everyone. This might take a little getting use to, but with a little practice, you won't regret this tip.

5. Sundresses

What better way to relax and look cute at the same time than to throw on a nice sundress? This outfit can be dressed up or down. There are so many different options to choose from in the plus department that I don't even know where to begin. Also, to go along with your sundress; try pairing it with a funky sun hat. This can really make the look complete.

6. Jewelry

Want to jazz up your look? Try throwing on some flashy jewelry. This can really make your outfit go from zero to a hundred. Don't just stick with the plain silvers and golds. Throw some colors in there and spice up your summer look.

7. Crop tops

Ladies, don't be afraid of this tip because crop tops look great on plus-size women. With the right pair of pants, you will be slaying wherever you go. This can be the risky summer style you have been to afraid to try. Don't be afraid because your size doesn't define you. Beauty comes from within.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
