Summer is here which means you might actually take a chance and slide into that cutie's messages that you've had your eye on since last semester. They answer your message (thank God) and now it's time to figure out when and where your first date will take place. You can't take them to a nightclub and Netflix and chill isn't even in the equation. Where should you go in a tourist friendly town? Consider one of these places!

1) Share a romantic stroll in the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens are located on the strip in the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. This beautiful display is designed for all four seasons and Chinese New Year, which means you can take five different trips and see five different displays. Did I mention it's free?

2) Take A Lap Around Pole Position Raceway

If you and your date are into competing and have a need for speed, this is a great option! Pole Position Raceway has two locations in Las Vegas, including one close to the Strip and one nestled in the Summerlin area. Member prices start at $20, while non-member prices start at $25.50. Both locations also offer arcade games and food options.

3) Feel On Top Of The World At The High Roller

Most of us have seen the insanely awesome pictures taken when riding on The High Roller, but I am sure the view is even better in real life. The High Roller is located on the Strip, across the street from Caesars Palace. Daytime and nighttime rides are available, with prices beginning at $18 for daytime and $30 for nighttime. If you're a Vegas local, you can get additional discounts as well.

4) Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth at Cream

True Life: I'm a Cream Addict. This ice cream shop boasts two locations in Henderson and Summerlin, respectively. They are known for their ice cream sandwiches with fresh baked cookies but also offer Do'sant ice cream sandwiches, waffle ice cream sandwiches and an ice cream taco!

5) Explore the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay

If you and your date are into looking at beautiful fish and even touching a stingray, this is the place for you! The Shark Reef Aquarium is located at Mandalay Bay on the Strip. The aquarium features over 100 different species of fish and 15 species of sharks. Admission starts at $20 and Nevada resident discounts are available!

6) Check out Downtown Las Vegas' First Friday

For the perfect artsy date, First Friday would be perfect. The event happens every first Friday of the month in downtown Las Vegas. The theme changes monthly but the main concept stays the same: displaying the art of new and upcoming artists. First Friday also includes performances, food trucks and shopping!

7) Find a Nice Park and Have a Picnic!

There's many beautiful parks located all around Las Vegas. Mentionable ones that would be great specifically for a picnic includes Sunset Park and Floyd Lamb Park. Be sure to check the weather before and maybe plan to have your picnic date on a cooler day!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
