It's officially May and summer has started! Instead of sitting at home and binge watching the newest Netflix's TV Series. Get off the couch and go on the greatest adventure one could ever imagine. In Michigan, it snows half of the year so get out and enjoy the sunshine most while you still can!

There are different things that you can do on your summer weekends. This summer mix it up and go on an adventure.

Ann Arbor

Not only is it home to the University of Michigan but has a great downtown to explore. You do not even have to buy anything! Instead explore the campus and all the local stores next to the college life! It's even family friendly with museums in history, art, and science.

Boyne City

Boyne is a cute little town with lots of fun activities. You can bike around Boyne Mountain in the summer time instead of the normal skiing done in the winter. As well as going zip lining, and hang out at the waterpark for the day. While downtown you can take a hot air balloons, and go shopping!

Frankenmuth

Known as the German City, where you can eat lots of yummy food! Not only is this city great for the delicious food but all the activities year round. It has the oldest brewery in Michigan you can tour, and or Bronner's the greatest Christmas store!

Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids is a way to feel like you are in the big city when your still in Michigan! There are so many activities to do in this city. There are hundreds of restaurants, and museums to go to. Feel like a kid again and go to the zoo!

Mackinac City

Mackinac bridge is one of the best walks you could go on in the morning. You can go back to your room and go across to the beautiful island and spend it bike riding, walking about the island, and doing some exploring around the Grand Hotel! Spend the extra money to go onto the porch and look at the wonderful view that comes with it!

Traverse City

Throughout the summer there are all sorts of different activities with the Cherry Festival in July and concerts and community events throughout the summer. The beautiful downtown had several different stores, restaurants, and more!


So lets ditch the laptop, smartphone, and Netflix's and go on adventure around Michigan! You could be the one taking theres pictures instead of sitting here reading about it!
