Summer Activities To Do Inside

Summer is in full swing and it is starting to get hot, at least it is where I live. It has been over 100 degrees the past week. I made it out of the house last Tuesday but I still spent most of the day in air conditioning and when I had to walk outside it was so hot that I felt like I had walked into a sauna. Sadly, that is how your summer goes when you live in California and especially when you live far away from the water. So I propose some fun activities to do inside when it is too hot to be outside.

The first one would be to watch TV. Yes, many people are telling kids to go outside and play but when it is 103 degrees outside it is too hot to do anything outside. On the really hot days I don't even want to go get my mail and the mail box is only one house down from me. Also if kids and teenagers were to spend a lot of time outside when the weather is 103 degrees they could get forget to drink lots of water and over heat. Watching TV would be best for those really scorching days. Maybe watch a movie with the family or a show that everyone likes and spend time together.

Another activity anyone can do when it is too hot outside, is to do a puzzle. Anyone can do a puzzle and when it is so hot sitting around a table and working out a puzzle can be relaxing. I know that when I am overly stressed I want to do a puzzle because it makes me stop and focus on what I am doing and not on whatever I am stressing over. Another thing to do is to play game, either on a electronic device or a board game with the family. In my house we have a huge collection of board games that we play. It's always so much fun when my family all sits down and we play a game and have fun with each other.

One of my favorite activities to do inside is making crafts. This summer I have decided to make friendship bracelets for my friends. It has been so much fun making them and when I give them to my friends they are so happy. Also there are so many different types of crafts that anyone can do. They might be time consuming but they are so much fun!

My favorite activity to do is to sit down in a comfy chair with a large glass of water and read a good book. I am such an avid reader, I have a large collection of books. It is really nice to just spend a day wrapped up in a good book and just relax for a day or two. One day I just kept reading and I finished three book series in a little under 24 hours. I get so addicted to good books I just lose track of time. Books are a really good way to pass the time and for anyone to experience great adventures without leaving the comfort of their home.

Summer is a wonderful time where everyone can take a break and relax with family and friends. I know that the summer is almost half over but I hope that everyone has a fabulous summer doing whatever they want and have a good time!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
