Style Guide 101

Let’s face it, now a days, style and fashion is becoming more of an extension of people’s personalities; Don’t you agree? You can tell if people have an elegant, rocker-chic, or '80s style. Style is becoming more and more diverse. It’s not always about the labels now. People are wearing clothes that really express who they are and what they stand for. But, there are others who have no idea how to express themselves through their clothes. Here are a few tips to get you started on your simple style goals.

If you want to improve your wardrobe, the first thing recommended is to get to know your taste. Yes, your wardrobe can be compared to food! Your style and your wardrobe should fulfill your taste buds. Get to know what your favorite store is and what type of clothes they sell. It’s like having a “go-to store”; they’ll always have an outfit you can’t wait to wear. It's almost like your favorite place to eat.

Next, pick a style that reflects who you are. Do you have a chic or '80s style? Get your style down pat so you know what section to go to when you enter a store (or shop online).

Lastly, write out a list of colors you love, ones that compliment your skin. Colors that compliment your skin can really bring out your skin tone. Use these colors to pick out your next outfit and see how you feel.

Getting to know your style can be fun! It's like discovering something you didn’t know about yourself before. Pick a style that reflects who you are and I guarantee you’ll feel better!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
