It was the night before finals, professors were asleep, students were studying, and the library made a peep. I was sitting in the library, worn out and tired, when a thought struck me, oh but I was wired. Oh how I dreamed of Netflix, my bed, and food, but this psychology test really killed my mood. Rory Gilmore was right, in her practical not at all crazy ways, she understood the stress, and staying up all night. Finals week is upon us; off to the library we go, get out your coffee (pots), because sleep is a no-go.
Hope you Odyssey readers enjoyed my little poem, I really enjoyed writing it. Rory Gilmore, aka top of her class at both Chilton and Yale, understands the stress us college students go through during finals week.
When you set your priorities ahead of time:
Caring more about your studies than your appearance:
When you're just done studying:
What you look like when you walk into the dining hall after hours of studying in your room:
When making plans to go out:
When you're in the library with all the books laid out in front of you:
And trying to absorb all the knowledge from said textbooks:
When you haven't eaten in two days:
Your friends when they describe you in six words:
Looking at your schedule like:
When you reevaluate your decision to come to college like:
When someone takes your spot in the library:
When you walk out of your last final like:
Rory Gilmore fans, we can all look up to Rory Gilmore herself. We can learn from her mistakes, take a hint from her (many) successes. She stuck to her studies throughout the semester and look at where she is now: freelancing all over the world.
