I like to think I have good study habits. I turn off my phone, I have a study playlist, I write my notes in blue pen so that I will have supposedly an easier time memorizing them. But I still slack off and wait until the last minute to begin studying for tests so here are a few things I have recently started doing to recently that really seem to help with stu(dying.)
1) For the love of God, don't cram
Cramming is never a good idea. Whatever you do study a few days before the test instead of a few hours before the test.
2) Alternate study spaces
I have a terrible attention span. I need quiet, and basically no one around me. I recently discovered the fourth floor of our library has these little booths that block my view from everyone.
3) Turn off your phone
Seriously. DO IT. I promise that the text will still be there in an hour. If I don't turn my phone off I will scroll endlessly through my cousins best friends sisters boyfriends Instagram.
4) Sleep
A tired mind is a slow mind. Take a 20 minute power nap and then hit the books.
5) Make a plan
I write everything out in my planner and it really does help. Make a list of your highest priority to your lowest priorities.
I know these tips are pretty broad but they really do help. Good luck with the rest of your semester!
