At the University of Cincinnati, Dana Drage, a Kappa Alpha Theta, has generously been planning a program that has the capacity to be city changing for the town of Clifton. She has started Going Grey UC.

Commercial sexual exploitation is a global issue. It does not just affect one culture or group of people. Many factors drive it, but one of the most astounding facts is that 80 percent of India, 850 million people, live off of less than $2 a day. The Aruna Project aims to raise enough funds to employ those who have obtained their freedom. By doing this we can “restore the liberating power of choice."

Going Grey UC is a threefold movement at UC. Her and her HYPE team aim to bring conversation to campus by wearing only grey from April 11-16. They are teaming up with the Aruna 5K Run on April 16 at the Freedom Center in downtown Cincinnati. But what is the Aruna Run exactly?

Through this run, participants are able to run for a woman who has become victim to sex trafficking to raise awareness and money to bring her to freedom. The purchase of a T-shirt is one of the first steps in offering your support for this outstanding cause. All of the proceeds will be going back to the Aruna Project.

In the grand scheme of things, this sort of project seems too large to know how to help. That is why a group of students at the University of Cincinnati have teamed up to localize the cause and convince students they have the power and ability to help.
