If you're reading this, chances are you currently fall under the title of "struggling college student" or you have in the past. We all have those days, weeks, and even semesters that seem like a rollercoaster that only goes down. I bet that right now you're sitting at desk, a table, or some other place with a to-do list you just made sitting next to you. You are realizing that there are so many due dates approaching faster than you can even write and you have no idea how you are going to get everything done.

It's at that point in the semester where it feels like all of your professors worked together so every class would have a major exam or assignment due the same week. It has probably been awhile since you have spent more than a day with your family, you are sick of the food you have to eat at each meal, and there are still a few weeks left until your next break. It's just one thing after another and it may feel as though the world is out to get you, or at least your professors...

But, first of all, breathe. It may seem as though this rollercoaster is only going down, but I promise it is going up more than you can see. Everything that you accomplish, no matter how small, contributes to the trek back up. You got up and went to class today, right? That's moving you up. You are making a plan of how to accomplish all that lies ahead, right? That's moving up too.

Second, don't stress about what you cannot control. You are not going to get an A on every exam and assignment. When you get a grade back that you aren't happy with, don't sulk in sadness about the grade you didn't get. Instead, figure out what you need to differently next time. If you don't change you can't expect different results. College is not meant to be easy, but that does not mean it isn't possible.

Finally, give God your worries and fears. God is always going to be on your side, regardless of the grades you get or the amount that you procrastinate. He wants to help you and wants to take away the stress and worry that He can. He is always listening and always caring, He doesn't want you to handle everything by yourself. Psalm 55:22 says it best, "Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken."Just let go and let God.

Keep your head up and keep pushing through. You're not alone in your struggles right now, but you will get through this. Just keep your head up!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
