Congratulations! You're a mom or dad! Whether it's a boy or girl I'm sure you're so happy. Whether it's a puppy or a dog, welcome to the struggle and the happiness of the dog mom/dad life.

While you may love your dog more than anything in this world, there are so very many struggles that come along with owning a dog. Whether it's your boyfriend/girlfriend and you have a dog together, you have a dog on your own or it was your parents' dog and now you take care of him/her there's going to be a lot of joy and a lot of struggles that come with caring for a dog on your own.

If any of the below apply to you, you're not only an awesome dog parent, but an awesome human:

1. You constantly talk in (what you think is) a dog voice to your fur-child.

2. When you buy them something at the store you get so excited to see what their reaction is when you give it to them.

3. Having play dates with your best friends' dog.

4. Realizing it was a horrible idea to have a play date when they start running laps around the house and act absolutely crazy.

5. When they chew up something (shoes, pillows, etc.) you just have to accept it and move on, what's done is done.

6. When going out with friends you constantly wonder what they're doing.

7. Asking them, "What do you want?!" when they won't stop barking at you.

8. When you're out of treats you improvise with deli meat.

9. When someone asks you to go out, your response is, "yeah, but not until later, I can't leave my dog in his crate that long."

10. Constantly asking your roommates, "Will you let my dog out?"

11. Calling your dog a pervert when they start "maturing" and hump everything.

12. Getting really sad when you look back on pictures of them as babies.

13. Seeing dogs that need to be adopted and thinking about how happy your dog would be with a brother/sister.

14. Giving them a bath or cutting their nails is the worst experience ever.

15. When someone else's dog tries to bite or growl at your dog you get really defensive.

16. Wondering why people wouldn't want a dog.

17. When your dog has an accident in someone's house it is the most embarrassing thing ever and you can't stop apologizing.

18. Knowing your dog is way cuter than all the other dogs at the dog park (sorry, not sorry).

19. When a person says they don't like dogs, you automatically have trust issues with that person.

20. Being gone all day for any reason at all is just not an option.

21. Sending them to "grandma and grandpa's" for the weekend is the best weekend ever, but you miss them like crazy.

22. When people say, "OMG, you're such a mom," and you take it as a compliment.

23. All the videos you share on Facebook and Twitter are of dogs.

24. Your dog is the main thing that is on your snapchat (because they're freaking adorable).

25. You swear your dog was a human in their past life.

26. Crying when you see a video of a mistreated dog and thinking, "my dog has it so good."

27. Knowing you have enough money to buy treats and dog food, but not enough for groceries and being completely okay with that.

28. Matching their collar and leash with their fur color.

29. When someone calls your dog "beautiful" you automatically say, "awe, thank you!" Because not only do you know it's true, but you're grateful other people think it's true, too.

30. Their birthday is a bigger deal than yours.

31. When you and all you friends with dogs constantly say #DogMomProbz #DogDadProbz because no one really understands your life except for those friends.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
