Struggles of an art student

1. Late nights to finish art projects

Every project takes a long time and you always put it off till last minute. This means late nights because art takes time.

2. Three hour classes

You love that class is only one day a week until you’re in class and realize that there’s still two hours left.

3. Expensive art supplies

While your friends complain about $100 textbooks you’re spending the same amount on art supplies.

4. Carry around a heavy bag

Carrying around paint, pencils, and sketchpads can get heavy. While people make fun of you for complaining, a big bulky bag is not fun to always have.

5. Carrying multiple canvases

Canvases are bulky and don’t always fit in your bag. Carrying around many of them gets annoying after awhile.

5. Charcoal everywhere

You work with charcoal once and suddenly your hand is completely grey. Also, how it got on your nose you’ll never know.

7. Paint everywhere

Every article of clothing you own has paint on it. You don’t know how it got on the jeans you just bought, but it’s just there.

8. Mixing up paint water and regular water

There’s a reason why those mugs are labeled, you know why.

9.What is that?

You just started your project, there is one line on the paper and people are already looking over your shoulder questioning you.

10. Art is easy

You hear this all the time and you just want to stick a paintbrush or pencil in their hand and say have fun. They will never understand the work that goes into each piece.

11.All the struggles are worth it in the end, cause art

You love making art and no matter what struggles you face nothing will ever stop you. So go have fun and make art.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
