The 10 Struggles Of Having A Long Distance Friend

My long distance friend is basically my sister, so the fact that she lives so far away from me is tough. However, we manage to always keep in touch. Allow me to share the daily struggles of having a long distance best friend.

1. Saying goodbye is never easy.


2. And right when they leave, you text them minutes after saying how much you already miss them.


3. Trying to get through the day without them is pretty tough.



4. And then you find a piece of their clothing left behind...



5. But you know you'll see them later on FaceTime.



6. And you get so excited to hear their voice again.



7. And you tell each other everything that has happened of every second of every day.



8. And you ask each other for advice about clothes aka for dates, life, and stuff.



9. You know you'll have to hang up soon, but you don't want to.



10. You know that it isn't goodbye; it's just a see you later.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
