The struggles of leaving So Cal
If you’re lucky enough to grow up or live in southern California-that pretty much just ruined every other place for you. Between the perfect climate, the world famous beaches/landscapes and the delicious food, it’s pretty hard to beat So Cal.
Most places don't know good Mexican food.
Other places will claim they have “good” Mexican food but being just an hour north of Mexico has taught you what “good” Mexican really is. You also realize Taco Tuesday isn’t a nationally accepted holiday.
You will actually need more than a jean jacket in the winter.
Southern California is known for its perfect climate, 70 degrees and sunny most days definitely doesn’t suck. The sad part is that most of the country does not share the same perfect climate, so you will freeze in the winter, and die of heat in the summer. Also, it actually rains in other places- so invest in an umbrella is you leave So Cal.
Bugs.
You can’t leave your windows and doors open in a majority of places because of the bugs. You also have to prepare to get mosquito bites all over your body in the summer if you leave.
Humidity.
Southern Californians are blessed with never having to deal with humidity, but sadly in most places, humidity exists. You can say goodbye to a good hair day and just let it do its thing, because you are no match to humidity.
You will crave In N Out.
Yes, there are other fast food places but nothing compares to In N Out. You will begin to crave a double double with animal style fries.
That is just a few of the struggles they don’t tell you about when you leave Southern California. You will really appreciate how lucky you are to be from or have lived in such a beautiful place though.
