The Struggles Of Going To Class In The Winter

Class in the winter has got to be the hardest time of the year...especially the walking to class part. So many thoughts are constantly running through your head as you debate getting out of bed or not. You've got to layer up, worry about the horrific embarrassment of falling on ice, try and stop your fingers and nose from falling off, and even the thought of just going into hibernation for the rest of the season comes to mind. Through all this, you push through (most of the time) to begin the great journey of heading to class.

1. Getting out of your warm bed, only to be greeted by a harsh slap from the cold.

2. You start the process of bundling up for the hell you're about to go though as soon as you step out the door.

3. You finally step outside, and think about how worth it going to class actually is at the moment.

4. Okay, so you've decided to make the journey to class. You start walking and all around you, people are falling, slipping, and sliding, all over the ice.

5. You feel bad, but inside, you're secretly giggling a little...until you feel your foot slip up. The falling has begun, and there's nothing you can do to stop it from happening.

6. The worst is over and done with. Until the wind hits you smack in the face. Suddenly, you can't tell if your crying because of the wind, or because life.

7. You start to wonder if it's too late to turn back around and go back to your bed. Oh, how you've missed your bed.

8. Everyone you make eye contact with on the way...

9. You see a kid in shorts...because there's always a kid in shorts who doesn't mind the cold.

10. You finally make it to class, and even though you're sweating, the cold is still with you.

11. Class is over, and the journey home lays ahead of you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
