If you're reading this, you've most likely been blessed with curly hair. And by blessed I mean graced with patience and killer arms trying to manage your lions mane. You wish your hair resembled those of the models on Pinterest, but let's be real that rarely happens unless the weather is perfect with a low humidity level. You know the struggles of curly hair all too well.
1. Your straightener is your best friend.
yes- your curls are gorgeous two out of the seven days a week, but the other five days they're a mess. The flat iron is your best friend when you actually have the time to straighten your luscious curls. It takes forever!
2. You have every curling product known to man.
You've tried every product on the market to reduce your frizz, define your curls, and make your hair easier to tame. But they never work just the way you want them too. That doesn't mean you're going to stop trying new ones. As soon as products hit the shelves you're after them.
3. Mousse does wonders.
Girls with straight hair don't quite understand this one. Mousse seems to be the only product that does what it needs to consistently. Peace Love Curly Hair and Mousse.
4. Do not brush your hair.
What even is a hair brush? The worst thing to do is brush through your curls. Talk about a hot mess.
5. Having people play with your hair is also a no.
God for bid someone pulls a curl..there's no going back. That piece will continue to stick out for the rest of the day.
6. You've mastered the messy bun.
When it's raining or the humidity is super high, there's not much you can do with your hair besides put it up in a bun. You're definitely not Miley and you don't let the bun get away.
7. Scrunchies are the best.
You can't put your hair in a ponytail in just anything. You have a whole bucket of scrunchies because they don't crease your beautiful curls.
8. You can't cut your hair too short.
We've all tried to cut our hair super short for a change. But you realize when you're hair is curly it's even shorter and it just pops up. It's okay, we all learn from our mistakes!
9. Getting out of the shower and going? Also a big no.
We all wish we could hop out of the shower and head out. Unfortunately, that is not an option. You need to put at least some product in your hair before stepping outside. Because of this, you've added extra time for your hair in your morning schedule.
10. "Yes, this is my natural hair. No, you don't want it."
It takes a lot of time trying to perfect your curls! You need to add just the right amount of product!
11. You have a love-hate relationship with your hair.
You absolutely love your curls, they're what make you-you. But they're a pain to deal with and you occasionally wish you had straight hair. In the end, you wouldn't trade your hair for the world.
