Everyone loves to look and feel their best, and for me and many others, this means having long gorgeous nails. Having a stunning acrylic manicure makes anyone feel like the CEO of a major corporation ready to conquer the world. But, having these long pretty nails comes with a price.
1. You can never open soda cans
It is almost impossible to shove your nail under that tiny tab opener. Sometimes I'll give in and have someone else open it for me.
2. Getting your hair stuck under your nails
Once you've had your fake nails on for a while, they start to detach from your real nail. As a result, if you run your hands through your hair, strands often get stuck underneath. Super annoying.
3. Picking up coins
It's always a little embarrassing struggling to pick up your change with your long nails at the cash register while everyone behind you is waiting in line.
4. Typing

8. Suddenly everything you do is 10X more extra
Who wouldn’t feel like a
9. Peeling off stickers is quite the task
It is so frustrating to try to slip your nail under that thin sticker and peel it off. Good luck.
10. Putting in and taking out contacts
I will only wear glasses when I have acrylic nails on because putting in and taking out contacts with these nails only ends up in you poking your eye and a lot of frustration.
As I sit here typing this article with my very own set of acrylic nails, I relate to all of these struggles, but still my obsession with long gorgeous nails will never die.
