To my perfect best friends.
After high school my group of friends all went to different schools, started participating in different activities and sports so naturally, we all grew apart. it was hard to accept that we all were probably just going to stay that way but eventually, I did.
I was a commuter my freshman year. In all of my classes, no one talked to each other unless they were in a similar affiliation, whether it was from living on campus, to Greek affiliations, or sports teams. You had to try really hard to talk to anyone, and even at that, some people just brushed you off.
So, I decided to go through sorority recruitment. On bid day I sat nervously with a bunch of girls I had only known for a few days and together we opened our fate, we hugged, jumped for joy, and squealed, because we all ended up exactly where we wanted to be.
I never thought it was true when anyone said that college would be where you meet the people that will be in your life forever but every day i believe it more and more. I knew that college would be a big part in finding who I am, figuring out what I want to do with the rest of my life, and becoming fully independent, but i thought a lot of it would be done on my own. After I found my home during sorority recruitment, and found my best friends within that, I knew that I would always have people to turn to if i needed anything.
I appreciate each and every one of you for just being the person that you are. We have some time left in college together but, you should know that you all make every day easier and better than the last. Whether its just stress, having a bad day, or just to make a great day even better, I can't thank you enough.
Cheers to us, cheers to forever.
