Hurricane Harvey and Irma both caused mass destruction in Texas and Florida.

Many are left without access to food and water, and others have lost everything due to these storms. Many do not have a home to go to and are left with only items they carried with them. They do not have anymore clothes or treasured items. During a tragic time like now, many are going to these areas to help those affected. Military, firefighters, police, medical aid, and people who just want to help are making the effort to help them. However, there are others who have been receiving backlash despite their best efforts.

Kim Kardashian and her family made a gracious donation to Red Cross and Salvation Army of half a million dollars for Hurricane Harvey relief. What seems like generosity and wonderful news to those affected was the opposite for others. Critics were saying how she is worth more than that, and instead of investing in new clothes for her wardrobe she should be spending more in the donation. I find this repulsive that someone can downplay someone else's efforts when others have done nothing to help. This is not the way that we should be showing respect. They also did not have to donate, but did with other celebrities, such as Sandra Bullock, Chris Brown, Kevin Hart, and the legendary, The Rock.

As a human, the best you can do is help and support those that have lost everything. There is no room to sit around and criticize how others should do more than they already have. Others, like Beyonce, have gone down to Texas to help with passing out food. There was also a telethon, "Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief," that was aired. It had stars like Jamie Foxx, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce, Julia Roberts, and Adam Sandler to name a few.

These are the benefits that these celebrities are offering to those that are in dire need at this time. They were not required, pushed, or mandated to do this. They did this out of the kindness of their hearts, and to show what it is to be kind to one another. There should be no negative remarks and no shaming, because they are just being the best humans they can be.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
