It all started when I woke up at a fraternity the next morning after a party (judge me). I asked one of the guys if I could borrow a pair of sweatpants to wear home and his response was "if I get them back". My first initial was "what could I possibly want with these huge sweatpants after this morning", then as I thought about it the boy had every right to want his sweatpants back because he has probably have items taken from him before.
Today, stealing items from fraternities is a game. Girls have spoon collections, shirts, composites from their favorite fraternities which they took without the guys knowing. It might be a good joke to tell your girlfriends that you have Jake from Beta Apple Pie's favorite hoodie, but the idea of this is so wrong. You wouldn't steal clothes from a store. Why would you steal clothes from someone's house?
I'm writing this article because the idea of borrowing clothes after a rough night has been ruined for girls who simply just don't want to walk home in their skirt and heels. Walk of shames are bad enough, let alone if I have to do it in a jersey, or a toga. So please, for the love of god, stop stealing from the fraternities on campus.
Sincerely,
A Concerned College Girl
