It's a new year, which means that we each need to have new goals. One of my goals this year was to go to the library more. I have always liked how quiet it is. Of course, it's not always completely quiet, but its good enough. I actually kind of like some of the sounds: people typing away, people eating their sweets, and people turning pages in a book.
Although the library isn't as close as I want it to be, I make sure to try and bring my friends with me. Sometimes the hardest part of going to the library to study is actually getting to the library. Friends make everything better.
Ever since I have been gone to the library, I have felt so much more confident in my abilities. It helps me stay more organized and productive. I know that I am spending quality time studying and working on miscellaneous things.
My grades have been improving and my love for learning has grown. I am curious about the classes that I am taking and I am wanting to learn from my mistakes. There are many resources at the library that anyone can take advantage of (including myself). I know that if I am struggling with a research paper that I can go talk to someone who can help me.
It's hard to watch a lot of people going out a lot. I sometimes feel like I am missing out, but I know that one day my hard work will pay off. Going to the library gives me a sense of hope that I am going to be changing the lives of my students. There is so much we all have to learn and we need to focus on those things.
I'm excited to go to the library tomorrow. I'm excited to grab a cup of coffee and get to work. I'm excited to learn more about politics and environmental science. I have a lot of future goals and plans that can be achieved if I work hard enough. I'm lucky to have a great support system at home and at school, but I know that not everyone has that. This is why self-love is so important.
All the hard work will pay off sooner rather than later. People have actually been noticing how much I am spending at the library or studying in general. It really shows a lot about someone's character when they care so much about their education. There's nothing wrong with valuing the education you are getting. Surround yourself with people who believe the same thing.
