What Your Starbucks Order Says About You

Is your order as extra as you are?

Everybody knows when you enter a Starbucks and get in line you ask yourself, "Will I get something different this time?" but in reality, you get your same order to a tee. I know I personally judge a person when I hear their Starbucks order, but then again mine isn't so special. What someone orders really tells a lot about them as a person. Here's my version of what your Starbucks order says about you.

1.Vanilla Iced Coffee

You like coffee, or so you think. You usually go with your friends to Starbucks and they order black coffee but you're not there yet so you get one vanilla iced. Let's be honest a vanilla iced coffee is really 20% coffee and the rest of it is milk, sugar, and ice. You like to keep it simple and you know it.

2. Green Tea

You are a healthy eater who loves natural and organic items. You like Starbucks, but not for their coffee. In your mind you know you could make your own green tea at home for much cheaper, yet you keep going back to Starbucks. When they ask you if you want it sweetened you pause but eventually say no because who needs the calories.

3. Hot Chocolate

Why are you even going to Starbucks? Yes, your friends go and you want to be included but you don't drink coffee or tea. You're that odd friend out who wants to be with the group but doesn't really like Starbucks. When the barista calls your name and order you look around tentatively seeing if anyone is judging you.

4. Black Coffee

You are hardcore, my friend. The ultimate coffee connoisseur. You drink about 2-3 cups of the stuff a day to stay alive. You justify your coffee habit by googling the benefits and hoping they're true. All your friends say you have a problem but what do they know. In your world coffee IS life.

5. Frappuccino (of any variety)

You don't drink coffee. A frappe is basically your starter drink. It's the drink you get before you either really get into coffee or decide you don't like it and move on. If you don't like Starbucks, but your friends are doing this is what you get instead of your usual Dunkin Donuts iced coffee. Essentially you're drinking blended sugar, milk, and flavor, with a small dash of coffee.

6. Caramel Macchiato

I hope you know you're just getting a vanilla latte with caramel drizzle. You're also paying a dollar more, so you must really be committed to this drink. You're really just in it for the caramel flavor. This is a basic, I don't know what I want, order. Whenever you're with someone who doesn't know what they want or has never been to Starbucks most people recommend this drink.

7. London Fog Latte with 2 pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup, one shot of espresso, and skim milk.

One word...EXTRA. You're really just getting tea with milk. If you're that worried about the calories, just don't get Starbucks. The baristas secretly possibly openly hate you as a person. You cause them grief and pain deep down, this is why your name is always spelled wrong. Don't get me wrong, do you, if extra is your middle name own it.

P.S. I get a venti strawberry green tea infusion :)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
