Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved the “Star Wars” saga. No other movie has come close (except "The Avengers" maybe). Even though "Star Wars" is just a movie franchise, it has taught me so much and those lessons have carried me through many different events in my lifetime. (Who says you can't learn anything from movies?) Here is a list of different life lessons I have learned from the "Star Wars" saga.
1. “There's always a bigger fish.”
Adversity and struggles are a part of life, and each one is going to seem worse that the previous. When you meet that huge fish, look back at the smaller fish you've passed. If you can get past those fish, you can get past the bigger fish.
2. Ship characters with caution
Okay fangirls, this one's for you. We all remember the feeling we had the moment we found out Luke and Leia were siblings. (Really George Lucas?!...EW!)
So let's hold off shipping Rey and Kylo Ren until we're 100% sure they are NOT related.3. Guys, step aside. We ladies can take care of things here.
My middle school years (the years when my “Star Wars” obsession really took off-pun intended) were filled with Leia and Padme showing me that I could be a “girly girl” and still be able to hold my own. After having female leads like Bella in movies, having a character like Rey is just great to see. Each of these women are strong, resourceful and clever while still being “girly.”
When Finn and Rey were being chased by the First Order and their first choice of transportation was destroyed, they had to use what was near them.
And that garbage ended up saving their skins. Can I just say how excited I was when the garbage was actually the Millennium Falcon, the best hunk of junk in the galaxy?
Though Darth Vader was a sith lord, Luke didn't give up on him. That paid off in the end when Vader saved Luke from the Emperor. It's a difficult idea to accept, but there is always a chance for someone to make the right choice and turn their life around.
You never know when someone is going to just drop by for a visit. It's good to always be prepared (Kids this is a major reason to keep your room clean).
7.You're capable of things you never thought you were.
Rey thought she was simply a scavenger on Jakku, but she was able to 'Jedi-mind-trick' a First Order trooper without any official training (to our knowledge as of summer 2016). Everyone is capable of doing great things.

yeah, I know this is a game, not a movie. But If you haven't played
Knights of the Old Republic, you need to play it ASAP. This game was
around when I was in middle school (I'm a college grad now) so the
graphics are a little meh, but the story makes it all worth it.
KOTOR is one of the best games out there by far (rant over). Also,
SPOILER ALERT if you haven't played it: Revan
(Jedi-turned Sith) was a horrible person responsible for the
destruction of many lives. Thanks to Bastilla and the Force, Revan
became an amnesiac who could either return to the Dark Side and
conquer the galaxy or become a Jedi and save the galaxy from Darth
Malak. Just like Revan, you can start over and choose your path, despite where
you've been in life.
No matter what's going on, it's always good to look at the bright side of your situation, even if it's an impending crash landing. (Besides, I needed an excuse to use a GIF of prequel Obi-Wan.)
No list of lessons from “Star Wars” could be complete without this quote. Yoda's line needs no explanation.
