ROAD TRIP!!!

It's that time of year -- spring break -- and, needless to say, unless you are riding somewhere with your squad, you're doing it wrong. So shout-out to my friends who are on their way to a warmer destination, and if you've already arrived, you'll be able to relate to this one well. But if you haven't hit the road yet, you'll soon know what you're in for.

1. Know your role!

So you have at least three main roles in the car at all times. First off, the driver. They are in charge of making sure everyone gets to the destination in one piece. Second, shotgun. If you are riding shotgun, you are in charge of music. Your main goal is to make sure the jams are bumpin' and that the car is vibing! Finally, back seat. If you have been given this spot, you are in charge of the noms. Snacks are key for a good ride.

2. Someone will be hangry hungry.

At least one time during your trip, someone will be hungry. Like, more hungry than a snack can handle. And you'll have to stop. So take that time and stop, either take it to go, or go inside and eat. But just know if you're on a time crunch, eating is going to eat up your time (sometimes I'm punny). So keep that in mind. But stopping to eat is a great way to let everyone stretch their legs and break up some car-time monotony.

3. Everyone will need a bathroom break .

Plot twist: If you're riding with cars filled with girls (like we were), you'll probably stop a million times because we always have to pee. Just be midnful of your road signs so you can find a prime location to stop. Also use the buddy system because when you're traveling, safety is always key!

4. Traffic is the inevitable.

Unless you travel in the cover of darkness, you'll hit traffic. But use this opportunity to have a dance battle with the car in front of you. If it's your friends, someone needs to record it, because if no one snapchats it, did it ever really happen? And if you're stuck in traffic next to strangers cars, keep dancing because they'll either join in, or you'll make their day!

5. Finally you've made it.

After ages in the car, you'll have finally made it to your destination. You've hopefully made it in one piece, and everyone still loves each other. If you're pros at traveling, you've made it in the time your GPS said it would take. If you're a tad more frivolous (like us), you'll tack on some time (like three extra hours), and you'll have some memories to talk about!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
