Who doesn't love working out? The best time to be gross and sweaty and out of shape is when half of your school is there to see you. I mean even though literally no one cares about your workout, it feels like it's all eyes on you. Everyone goes through the same awkward gym experience at some point, even the most fit of us. Here are the phases of working out in college.
1. You're finished with classes and thought you should venture to the AC to get that "summer bod."
More likely, you force yourself or are forced by friends.
2. You decide to start off with some light stretching, yanno really warm it up (since it has been years).
Calisthenics all damn day!
3. Time for some cardio -- the only challenge is finding a treadmill.
4. But once you find one, you realize your mistake.
5. Time to give up on the machines and join your friends for a circuit workout #turnup.
6. Just as you're really getting into it, you spot your crush.
7. Maybe you try some weights, and you think you're looking good AF.
8. What you think you look like.
What you actually look like.
9. When you realize your true weakness.
10. God help you if you're dragged to some type of class, where you know absolutely nothing.
11. Afterwards the instructor asks how you feel about your first class.
12. Finally you see the light at the end of your workout, but your body betrays your attempt to leave.
Good luck (soon to be) gym rats!
