It is about that time to start making spring break plans. Some may have already started, and if you have then you're really on top of things. However if you are like me, procrastination is one of your biggest faults.
Last year I didn't go on spring break. My mom said it was my first year and there was no way she was letting me travel anywhere but back home. However this year is different. I have been researching places to go and I'm here to share them with you.
1. Daytona, Florida
Daytona is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and it's one of the warmer places to go for spring break. With the ocean in close proximity, Daytona has great seafood available as well. Who doesn't like a fresh plate of seafood? It is inevitable that you will end up at the beach during spring break. There is a store in Daytona with over 25,000 swimsuits to choose from to have you tanning, swimming, or simply relaxing in style!
2. South Padre Island, Texas
South Padre Island offers many different adventurous activities such as dolphin watching, parasailing, and skydiving. Minus the skydiving, those are all activities I would love to do while on break to mix it up a little bit. This will shake things up and be different from the typical "I'm going to Florida for spring break" pattern for college students.
3. Cancun, Mexico
One of the more famous spring break destinations is Cancun, Mexico. It has numerous all-inclusive resorts, some of the biggest parties, and beautiful beaches. I feel like every young adult needs to go to Cancun at one point in their prime, whether that be during spring break or for just another vacation. I know I get super jealous whenever someone tells me they're going to Cancun. ¡Viva Mexico!
4. Miami Beach, Florida
If traveling out of the country isn't what you're looking for, another beautiful spring break destination is Miami Beach in Florida. Miami Beach has some of the nicest hotels with breathtaking views of the ocean. This spring break destination is well known for being the place where people go after they have prepared their "spring break bods". Hitting the beach is a must.
5. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Punta Cana is another destination that offers wild parties. However if partying isn't your thing, you can get away from all of it and do fun things like zip lining or snorkeling. These activities are on my bucket list, so why not knock em out during spring break?
I hope one of these spring break destinations fits you, your budget, and you have the greatest time ever! You deserve to take a break from all of the tests, papers, and stress that comes along with school. Have fun, be safe, and make lots of memories!
