Identity theft is one of the things that scare people a lot. Usually, when someone steal your information, they can use it against you for their gain and your lost. When someone's identity is stolen, they go to a series of step to clear the case and they get restricted to do certain things. There are cases where the person can't use their current credit card something they have worked so hard to maintain. One interesting thing about identity theft is that even if your life is limited, You are still You. It is no different for spiritual identity theft.

When Jesus died on the cross for us, He gave us a new identity, and that is an identity that can never be taken away from us fully. But, just because it cannot fully be taken away from us doesn't mean that the enemy won't try to steal it. He will try many things to steal your identity, but his favorite way to do so is to remind you of who you used to be when God clearly says in 2 Corinthian 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!". Often time we fall into this trap and go on thinking that we cannot change, we cannot be better, we cannot be Holy, we cannot get close to God, and all of this is due to forgetting our identity. Spiritual identity theft is a serious matter so serious that we have been warned so much in the Bible. 1 Peter 5:8-9 " Be alert and sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings".

So yes, the enemy can try a lot of things, but if we constantly remember our identity than we will be able to stand firm in the faith. But, if we don't, we are in serious trouble. Just like general identity theft, our lives will be limited if we are not careful. When the enemy spend so much time playing with our minds and we stay away from the word of God, it is so easy to fall in his trap which is why it is important to have accountability partner.

In my article Inner Circle Evaluation, I talked about how important it is to surround yourself with like-minded individuals. It is not only important because I say so, but because the Bible mention more than once. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 " Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up.But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up". The enemy attacks us better when we are alone which is why he doesn't like union; he loves to see division because he will get an easier target. When you have someone that knows your true identity in Christ, that person can hold you accountable and reminds you of who you are when the enemy come to try and steal your identity.

The thing is, you don't even have to be a Christian for your identity to be stolen. Have you ever done something in the past and people constantly identify you by that? Have you ever been at a place you shouldn't have and now that you are at a better place and people still look down on you? Have you ever been happy and things from your past come back you you out of nowhere to hunt you down? Have you ever feel like you are in the present but you are still living in the past? Have you ever feel rejected? Have you ever felt alone? Have you ever felt unwanted? Have you ever felt alone? Yeah, me TOO!!! That has happened to me too many times to remember. The enemy doesn't like joy, so he will constantly throw these things back at you.

Remember that YOU are NEVER ALONE, GOD ALWAYS WANTS YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE HIS OWN. GOD ACCEPTED YOU INTO HIS FAMILY. YOUR past CANNOT determine YOUR FUTURE. In all, what others think about you, how others feel about you isn't what matters.

Fellow Christians, they will identify you with your past and the things that aren't pleasing about you, but He washed and cleansed YOU. So, in His sight, you are righteous no matter what they think about you. Your identity in Christ is your only true identity, so watch out.

and always remember that even if your identity is stolen, You are still You.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
