Many schools in the southern region of the U.S. have already completed rush and celebrated bid day and tons of new sisters, but here in Louisiana we are still anticipating it. Due to the horrible floods that have devastated various regions of the state, LSU rush was postponed until later this week. All those affected are in our thoughts and prayers. If you have the time or the means, please consider donating any time or possessions to those in need in the great state of Louisiana!!
Everyone has a favorite underrated Disney movie, and I have to say that one of mine is The Emporer's New Groove. His sass and spunk was perfect for describing sorority rush, which is quickly approaching here at LSU!
1. You don't really think about rush until it gets to be about mid-July, when the head rush chair sends an email explaining everything in detail. Instantly, you are ready to begin preparing for one of the most rewarding experiences ever.
2. August comes and you return to campus and see all of your best friends
3. You spend the whole week prior to recruitment bonding and working on a great rush for the pm's
4. You loved it an all, but bouncing and clapping started to make you feel a little like this

7. You have conversation after conversation after conversation after conversation and your mouth literally becomes a machine of your own. You fear that your crazy eyes are in full affect, and you don't really have social cues anymore
8. After several hours of recruitment a day, your "hanger" becomes almost legendary. About 4pm you kinda feel like this
But time progresses and your stomach grows emptier, so you begin to resent whoever is withholding food from you
9. Thankfully, the thought of all of those sweet pm's running to your house on bid day keeps you going... and also you found the coffee
10. Thank God everyone is in the same boat, because every time you look in the mirror and spot how much makeup has melted off of your face, you feel a little like this:
11. By the end of the week, any time anyone tries talking to you all you can think is this:
12. But, as cliche as it sounds, in the end it is all worth it to see those wonderful girls run down to your house. The feeling can only be described with this:
