No matter your major, there's always that one song that perfectly describes your experience, not only in college, but within your major as well. Here are songs that describe each major and lyrics that speak to all that the field encompasses. Maybe you'll even have a new playlist after looking through these songs!

1. Accounting - "Money, Money, Money" by Abba

2. Mathematics - "The Good Kind" by The Wreckers

"Do you know I cry
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind"

Math can make everyone want to cry at one point or another, but that's okay! You got this!

3. Architecture - "The House That Built Me" by Miranda Lambert

Just remember when you're stressing out about measurements that are wrong or things don't go according to plan, there will be a family that is so grateful for the home you had a hand in creating.

4. Theater/Music - "The Sound of Music" by Charmian Carr

5. Art - "Light Outside" by Wakey!Wakey!

This song makes you want to get out of bed in the morning and do something incredibly creative.

6. Athletics - "Centuries" by Fall Out Boy

"Some legends are told
Some turn to dust or to gold
But you will remember me
Remember me, for centuries
"

Let's be honest, there was a time when so many teams used this as their players' intro song.

7. Science - "Big Bang Theory Theme" by Barenaked Ladies

8. Business - "Warriors" by Imagine Dragons

"Here we are, don't turn away now,
We are the warriors that built this town.
Here we are, don't turn away now,
We are the warriors that built this town
From dust.
"

9. English - "Belle" from Beauty & the Beast

10. Criminology/Criminal Justice - "Renegades" by X Ambassadors

11. Communications - "Babel" by Mumford & Sons

"'Cause I know my weakness, know my voice.
And I'll believe in grace and choice.
And I know perhaps my heart is fast,
But I'll be born without a mask."

Communications majors not only know their voice and its impact, but also the dangers of censoring what needs to be said. Therefore, they don't appreciate being silenced by the mask that comes with being politically correct.

12. Languages - "All Around the World" by Justin Bieber ft. Ludacris

13. History - "Too Late to Apologize: A Declaration" by Soomo Publishing

Too many teachers I know showed this Youtube video to their classes when it first popped on the scene. It's a true American classic at this point.

14. Education - "I Won't Let You Go" by Snow Patrol

The entire basis of being an Education major is helping others better themselves through knowledge. And yes, it can be challenging sometimes when your children don't seem to be understanding the material, but it's your job to reassure them that you won't let them go.

15. Military Sciences - "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood

CLASSIC Y'ALL

16. Nursing - "Someone to You" by BANNERS

"And if the sun's upset and the sky goes cold,
Then if the clouds get heavy and start to fall.
I really need somebody to call my own
I wanna be somebody to someone,
Someone to you
."

Many have no idea how selfless nurses actually are. And all they want is to help mothers, sons, grandparents, and families. For many, nurses are the saving grace of a hospital.

17. Law - "Move Along" by All-American Rejects

Law school is widely known to be difficult, with all of the laws that students have to retain and the heavy testing, but it is possible! When you lose hope, just "move along and make it through" and get to bigger and better things.

18. Social Work - "You Are Enough" by Sleeping At Last

"'You are enough.'
These little words, somehow they’re changing us.
'You are enough.'
So we let our shadows fall away like dust."

Social workers often work with children from bad situations, whether in their home life or something else, and all they need to hear is that they are wanted and they are enough.

19. Therapeutic Recreation - "March: Hills to Climb" by Tim Myers

This song is super inspirational and will get anyone in the mood to get back up on their feet and start anew.

20. Psychology/Sociology - "Unconsolable" by X Ambassadors

"I hope we stay
Thick as thieves
Butter and bread
Pillars on colonial homes
And I wish I could shout you out"

No matter your major, all of these songs can get you in the mood to finish fall semester strong and conquer winter break!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
