You ever want to travel back in time to the good ol' days when it was all so simple...? Well, I don't know about you, but I sure would love to go back to middle school: the time of my life when - I personally feel - I was at my prime... or at least the first of my prime-times so to speak.

If you ever wanted to take a trip down memory lane (via your ears), then look no further, for I have the perfect nostalgia fix for you – 25 songs that you had very likely had on your iPod back in middle school, or at least heard on the radio at some point in your life! What better way to experience those bittersweet feelings of your early adolescence (and even your childhood) than with these feel-good, angsty, and more or less decade-defining songs??

The only rules of this list are as follows: all songs are alphabetized by title, one song per artist or group, and no more than two songs per letter section, so I had to really narrow it all down…

Note: While most of these have come from my own iPod Touch playlist at that time, and a few on this list happened to not be on my playlist then, these are just a small sampling of a whole plethora of music from mainly the 2000s and early 2010s, so if you like what you see and hear here and want so much more, I encourage you to dig up the dusty records in the back of your mind – if you know what I mean…

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.

There is always a time in the semester when you have about three papers, four tests, five assignments and two projects due within the same time period. Isn't that just the best?

It's almost as if the professors all plot against you just to make college even more stressful than it already is. No matter how many people try to make you feel better, no one ever compares to your mom. Moms always know exactly what to say.
